History of Robin Builders, Inc.

In 1970, armed with several years of experience in fabricating portable structures, A.L. Hartley recognized the need for consistent quality, innovation, and market sensitivity in the portable building industry. Mr. Hartley had a vision of producing a quality portable building for a reasonable price... so, he launched a new enterprise of his own... Robin Builders, Inc.

Mr. Hartley's energies and entrepreneurial spirit have since been supplemented and complemented as Mr. Hartley surrounded himself with a capable and enthusiastic team of management and production professionals. The "little" operation that was started in 1970 in Lyons, Ga. has now mushroomed into "a giant player" in the field of portable utility buildings. In 1979, Mr. Hartley added another manufacturing facility in Lake Wales, FL. Presently, the Robin Team consists of two manufacturing plants, over 120 independent dealers, and 8 factory owned sales centers servicing the southeastern United States.

The management of Robin Builders was passed on to the second generation in the 1980's to sons Wayne and Lewis Hartley. Raised in the business, these sons continue to carry onward Mr. Hartley's "Family Commitment to Excellence".

The unique method of selecting Dealers for Robin Builders is another reason for their success. Our dealers are already established and respected business people in their cities and communities, with a proven track record. We form a Robin Team Partnership with our dealers based on mutual respect and commitment.

Robin Builders offers a complete line of residential and commercial storage buildings, offices, guardhouses, sturdiports, gazebos, and multi-module buildings. However, the old adage that "nothing happens until somebody sells something!" is true. This is why Robin Dealers play such an important part on the Robin Team.
